RPF SEIZED PEACOCK, PARTRIDGES AND GREEN PIGEONS

SASARAM------------------------The Railway Protection Force, Dehri-on-Sone, achieved a major success, arresting a wildlife smuggler with 33 peacocks, 5 partridges, and 2 green pigeons.

The Railway Protection Force, Dehri-on-Sone, made an arrest while smuggling the Indian national bird. In a major action under wildlife protection, the RPF, Dehri-on-Sone, arrested a smuggler with a total of 40 live birds.

The Railway Protection Force, Post-Dehri-on-Sone, received information about bird smuggling from train number 12312 Down. Upon receiving information, a team comprising Inspector Ramvilas Ram, Sub-Inspector Kumar Gaurav, Assistant Sub-Inspector Hare Ram Kumar, Head Constable Brijbhushan Mishra, Head Constable Santosh Kumar Paswan, Constable Abhimanyu Singh, Constable Angad Kumar Tiwari and Constable Sarvodaya Paswan checked train number 12312 down on its arrival at platform number four of Dehri station. A man was found in suspicious condition with three large plastic bags in the toilet of coach number S7 of the said train. On questioning, he gave his name and address as Vikram Mukherjee, age around 22 years, father- Vishnu Mukherjee, resident- Gopalpur, police station- Kandi, district- Murshidabad (West Bengal). Upon checking the three bags in his possession, a large number of live 33 national bird peacocks along with 05 partridges and 02 green pigeons were recovered. All the recovered live birds were seized after a proper seizure list was prepared and wildlife smuggler Vikram Mukherjee was also arrested following arrest rules. After completing all the necessary paperwork, the seized live birds and wildlife smuggler were handed over to the Forest Department, Dehri on Son, for further action.
