PATNA-----------------------------As the Bihar elections are getting closer, political movements are getting intense. Meanwhile, the biggest headline has become the possible entry of Bahubali Anant Singh in Janata Dal United (JDU). The discussion of former Mokama MLA and "Chhote Sarkar" Anant Singh joining JDU has ignited the fire of differences within the party. In fact, last month Anant Singh surprised everyone by doing a road show with Union Minister Lallan Singh in Mokama. After this, he met Bihar government minister Ashok Chaudhary and then also had a face-to-face conversation with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna. After these incidents, speculations have intensified that Anant Singh may be a JDU candidate from Mokama seat.

But the matter is not so simple. Because Anant Singh's wife Neelam Devi is currently an MLA of Rashtriya Janata Dal. The interesting thing is that during the no-confidence motion in the assembly last year, Neelam Devi had openly supported JDU. That is, the political inclination of the family was already seen to be inclined towards Nitish's court.

But a deep rift has started to appear within JDU regarding this. Senior party leader and spokesperson Neeraj Kumar has raised questions on Anant Singh's candidature. He said in a sharp tone that Anant Singh is not even a member of our party, then how can he contest elections? Due to his criminal image, the Nitish government itself sent him to jail many times. The party should distance itself from such people, otherwise the image will be tarnished. It was this Anant Singh who had accused Nitish Kumar of selling tickets, which even the opposition did not say.

This statement of Neeraj Kumar is not without reason. In fact, there is also a discussion that he himself is preparing to contest from Mokama seat. In such a situation, Anant Singh's claim on JDU ticket directly challenges his political equations. On one hand, the speculation of Bahubali Anant Singh joining JDU has increased the political heat, while on the other hand the conflict within the party has come out in the open. For Nitish Kumar, this situation is no less than a "double-edged sword". If he gives ticket to Anant Singh, then there is a danger of the party's clean image getting tarnished, and if he stays away, then the risk of losing the seat in Mokama will increase.

Political experts say that the battle for Mokama assembly is no longer just a matter of election seat, but it is also a test of Nitish Kumar's political strategy and moral image.
