PATNA-------------------------Tejaswi Yadav and the Congress have been virtually wiped out in Bihar, while the Bihar results have also shaken the political ground of leaders like Mamata Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav.

Thinking shells don't break easily—the changes required to be substantial and substantial. This Bihar mandate is shaking up traditional notions of Indian democracy. With the power of a massive mandate and a society brimming with expectations, Narendra Modi appears to be establishing a kind of presidential model within parliamentary democracy.

Modi may be leading a government supported by Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu at the center, but his actions are as if the BJP has an absolute majority. He is consistently forming stable governments in the states, relying on his influence. His dependence on allies is almost negligible.

Since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP, under Modi's leadership, has won four consecutive assembly elections—Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, and now Bihar. Modi knows that every citizen of the country is constantly reviewing his work.

Since 2014, the number of regional parties in the states has been steadily declining—a direct result of Modi's popularity and his political strategy. Narendra Modi seems to be successful in establishing the concept of direct electoral contest between two parties or two alliances, from the central government to the states. This is why he campaigns at the Chief Minister level in any state.

Prime Minister Modi has clearly explained to the people that if development is desired, we must move beyond the multi-party system and dynastic politics. The public is understanding and accepting this. This is what New India wants!

On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee is sensing the political storm named Modi. After fifteen years of uninterrupted power, it is becoming increasingly difficult for her to stop Modi's political machinery. It seems that her strong hold in Bengal is also gradually weakening.
