ARA-------------------------The renovation of the fort grounds located in Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat, which belonged to Babu Veer Kunwar Singh, the great warrior of the 1857 freedom movement, is a result of the efforts of the RJD government, the residents of Jagdishpur town, and our movement.
We have raised the demand to declare the fort grounds a tourist destination dozens of times, from the streets to the legislative assembly.
I have held numerous meetings with the SDO demanding the proper maintenance and security of the fort grounds, the construction of toilets, and the construction of five urinals and toilets from Naya Tola Mod to Block Mod in the town.
The wide and clean roads you see in Jagdishpur town today are the result of our and the townspeople's movement.
The residents of Jagdishpur town should remember the condition of Jagdishpur town and the fort grounds before 2001.
My constant endeavor has been to develop the fort grounds of Babu Veer Singh, a national heritage site, to have it declared a tourist destination, to build tourist hotels and guesthouses, and to construct a tourist path from Jagdishpur to Ara House, from Ara House to Shivpur Ghat, and from Shivpur Ghat to the Jagdishpur fort grounds.
I have also strived for the renovation of the underground passage leading from the Jagdishpur fort grounds to Ara House and its development as a national tourist site.
