ARA-----------------------------A railway signal maintainer died after falling from a passenger train in front of the GRP post located at platform number two of Bihiya station on Danapur-PDDU railway line on Sunday morning. There was chaos among the people regarding the incident.
According to the information, the deceased is 53-year-old Gyaneshwar Prasad, son of late Dwij Narayan Singh, resident of Nagwan village ward number-14 of Maner police station area of Patna district. He was a signal maintainer in grade one of the signal department of the railway. Currently, he was working at Bihiya station for about 15 years.
It is said that he came to Bihiya from Banahi during duty. While getting down at the station, he fell from the train. Due to which he died on the spot. On receiving the information, the railway police reached the spot and informed his family members about it. The police took the body in their possession and got the post-mortem done at Sadar Hospital.
Here, Railway Welfare Inspector Officer Eklavya Kumar Joshi said that he died due to shock from a passenger train while on duty. After this, the Railway has given a welfare amount of Rs 35,000 for the cremation. His body will be sent with full respect by the Railway Department.
It is said that the deceased had joined Gujarat in the year 2001 as a signal maintainer. His family includes his wife Rita Devi and two sons Rahul Raj and Aman Raj. After the incident, there is an uproar in the house of the deceased. His wife Rita Devi and all the family members were crying inconsolably.
