DELHI-----------------------Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi made an important statement at the Congress' 'Bhagidari Nyay Sammelan' on Friday. He admitted that in his political life he made a mistake in not fully understanding the issues of other backward classes. At this event organized in Delhi, Rahul said, "My politics started from 2004, but I did not understand the sufferings of the backward classes and their demands as deeply as was necessary. This was my mistake, and I am committed to correct it."

Rahul Gandhi also launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on this occasion. He described the policies of the central government as against the backward classes and other deprived communities. He alleged that the ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Sangh is against the principles of social justice. He also said that the policies of the government are being made only to benefit some special groups, while Dalits, backward classes and minorities are being neglected.

At the 'Bhagidari Nyay Sammelan', Rahul reiterated the Congress' commitment that his party will continue to work for social justice and inclusive development. He appealed to the backward classes to join hands with the Congress and strengthen the fight for social and economic justice. During this, he also questioned the government's foreign policy, especially India-Pakistan relations and recent international statements. According to Congress sources, this statement of Rahul Gandhi is part of the strategy to strengthen the party's position among the backward classes. Political analysts believe that this confession and criticism may be part of the opposition's new strategy, which aims to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party in the elections of various states to be held in 2025.
