ARA-------------------------Flood affected families of Sahajouli Panchayat of Shahpur block of Bhojpur district burst out in anger over rigging in flood relief. A large number of flood affected families protested and raised slogans against the head of the Panchayat, public representatives, ward members, ward member representative and revenue employee at Mathiya of Sahajouli Panchayat. Social worker Mohd Shahabuddin, who was leading the protest, said that there has been gross irregularity and rigging in the flood relief list in the Panchayat and the poor affected families have been deprived of benefits by making their names disappear from the flood relief list. He said that ward representative Devanti Devi of Dumaria ward number two, son Pankaj Kumar Singh, wife Shobha Singh, husband Balam Kumar of Pooja Devi of ward member seven Sahajouli, were successful in taking benefits for themselves instead of getting benefits for others. In the Panchayat, the name of husband, wife, boy, girl, father, son is being registered in the flood relief list and benefits are being provided. Whereas the name of not even a single member of many people's family has been registered in the list. During the protest, strong resentment was expressed towards the revenue employee. The protesters said that the revenue employee is registering names in the flood relief list by taking money and the one who pays the money is being registered in the list and benefits are being provided. When an attempt was made to contact the revenue employee to know his side in this matter, his mobile was found switched off. CO Rashmi Sagar said that the list will be corrected and the amount will be sent to the beneficiaries' account. CO Rashmi Sagar said that any kind of complaint should be registered in the office. Action will be taken after investigation and the problem will be solved.
