On 27.08.2025, Zoya Parveen, a fifth class student of Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya, Amalatola, Gardanibagh, Patna, died due to fire. There was a huge uproar and protest in this matter. Patna DM has described this incident as very sad. He said that this incident is a criminal negligence. This incident is being investigated by the police by registering an FIR. The District Magistrate said that such an incident occurring inside the school premises shows the negligence, lack of control and insensitivity of the headmaster.

The District Magistrate said that such an incident occurring inside the school premises shows the negligence, lack of control and insensitivity of the headmaster.
On the direction of the District Magistrate, the District Education Officer has suspended the Headmaster of Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya, Amalatola, Anchal-Gardnibagh, Patna, Premlata Kumari, with immediate effect under the provisions contained in the Bihar Government Servant (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 2005. Also, departmental proceedings are being initiated against her. The District Magistrate said that the District Education Officer has been directed to issue a charge sheet for conducting departmental proceedings against the suspended headmaster.
The suspended headmaster Premlata Kumari has been posted in the office of the Headquarter Block Education Officer, Phulwari Sharif during the suspension period. The District Magistrate said that any kind of laxity or negligence in discharging official duties will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against such officers and personnel as per rules, including departmental and disciplinary action.
Meanwhile, in this case, in connection with Gardanibagh Police Station Case No. 467/25, the police has also taken action regarding arson, vandalism and murderous attack on police officer and personnel by some anti-social elements near the school premises and Chitkohra Golambar. Patna Central SP Diksha said that an FIR has been registered in connection with the incident and a total of 21 accused have been arrested on the basis of observation of #CCTV_footage.
