PATNA----------------------- SSP Kartikeya K. Sharma has formed a special cell under the leadership of City SP (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh to crack down on arms smugglers. Due to the continuous action of the special cell, a huge stock of weapons is being recovered and criminals are being arrested. In this sequence, dozens of places were raided last Monday night under the leadership of City SP (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh. Many weapons have been recovered in this. Many suspects including sand mafia have been arrested. Due to which there is panic among the criminals.

Yesterday, City SP West Bhanu Pratap Singh had raided Ghodataap village of Bihta, during which a huge stock of weapons along with live cartridges was recovered. During interrogation, the police got important clues that weapons and cartridges are being smuggled to sand mafias and criminals through fake licenses and illegal means. After the success in Ghodatop, the police was actively engaged in gathering information and two days ago, a person involved in arms smuggling was arrested and sent to jail. After this, the police received many more concrete information. DSP-2, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Paliganj DSP, all the station heads of the subdivision were involved in the raid.

City SP (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh raided dozens of places in Ranital, Bikram, Paliganj, Bihta police station area last night. Police have recovered several pistols and many rifles. During this, a pistol was recovered from Soldi Kumar, a resident of Kab in Ranital, and two pistols were recovered from sand mafia Brijbihari of Jeetan Chapra. Apart from this, several rifles were recovered in the raid, which are being investigated. Police will expose the gang that makes fake licenses in an illegal manner. It is known that City SP Bhanu Pratap Singh had recovered an AK 47 from the hideout of sand mafias in the Son river basin area. There is information that sand mafias and criminals have many banned weapons, after which the police is conducting raids.
