BUXAR------------------------The body of a teenager was found near the Atreena bridge in Itadhi police station area on the banks of Thora river, creating a sensation in the area. The deceased has been identified as 15-year-old Chhotu Kumar Kushwaha, son of Taksman Singh Kushwaha, a resident of Itadhi. He was missing since 9 August, the day of Rakshabandhan. The family had lodged a missing complaint in the Itadhi police station on the same day. The family alleges that Patidar Shriram Kushwaha and his associate Rambachan Kushwaha kidnapped Chhotu over a dispute regarding the land route. Laxman Singh Kushwaha had appealed to the police several times for action. On Monday morning also, the victim's family reached the SP office, but by evening the news of finding the son's body at home created an uproar. Due to the rise in the water level of the Ganges, the water of the Thora river had spread to the fields. On Monday, after the water receded, the body was seen in the field of Atreena. The condition of the body was very bad, due to which it is feared that he might have been murdered three days ago. After getting the information of the body being found, the family and villagers reached the spot. Angry people started protesting by blocking the road in the evening. As soon as the information was received, Rajpur MLA Vishwanath Ram and police officers reached the spot. After getting assurance, the angry villagers ended the blockade. The protesters demanded immediate arrest of the accused and compensation to the victim's family. The police took the body into custody and took it to the old Sadar Hospital, from where the doctors referred it to Patna for post-mortem. The real reason and time of the murder will be revealed only after the post-mortem report comes. At present, the police have intensified the investigation considering the seriousness of the matter. There is a feeling of panic and anger in the area due to this incident. Villagers say that if the police had taken action on time, then perhaps Chhotu's life could have been saved. Now all eyes are on the police action and the post-mortem report.
