The Patna Metro will initially operate between three stations, which will be gradually expanded later. A total of five metro stations are ready in Patna: New Patliputra Bus Terminal, Zero Mile, Bhootnath, Khemnichak, and Malahi Pakadi. In the first phase, the metro will operate at three of these stations. Finishing work on the three-coach metro has been completed. Additionally, three elevated stations and a depot are ready for operation. In the first phase, the metro will operate at three stations: New Patliputra Bus Terminal, Zero Mile, and Bhootnath.

Each coach will have a capacity of approximately 300 passengers, meaning a three-coach metro train will carry approximately 900 passengers simultaneously. Each coach is equipped with 360-degree cameras. In case of an emergency, passengers will be able to contact the driver directly by pressing the red button.

The launch of the metro service will reduce traffic congestion in Patna, boost pollution control, and economic development. People will have access to fast, safe, and timely transportation options, reducing dependence on private vehicles, buses, and autos.
