PHYSICAL VERIFICATION OF WEAPONS WILL CONTINUE FOR ONE MONTH: ROHTAS DM

SASARAM-------------------------In view of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, District Magistrate Udita Singh fixed the date for weapon verification. DPRO Ashish Ranjan said that keeping in view the Assembly Elections-2025, two dates were fixed for all the police stations of the district between 12.07.2025 to 12.08.2025 for physical verification of weapons and officers of the respective zones were authorized at each police station, where in many police stations, verification of most of the weapons has been done, but in some police stations, physical verification of a large number of weapons is still pending. Therefore, in those police stations where physical verification of a large number of weapons could not be done on the pre-determined dates, the date of the last cycle for physical verification of weapons is fixed from 12.07.2025 to 12.08.2025 and the circle officer is authorized to do the physical verification of weapons as per the police station-wise rules.

All arms license holders of Rohtas district are informed that they must get the physical verification of their weapons done by appearing at the concerned police station on the prescribed dates. After the above-mentioned date, the weapon / arms held without verification will be considered illegal and action for suspension will be taken in the light of the relevant section of the Arms Act. All sub-divisional officers have been directed that the circle officers and police station in-charges will compile the joint report received and ensure to make it available to the District Arms Branch, Rohtas by 14.08.2025.
