PENSION MAHOTSAV IN BHOJPUR

ARA (RNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar transferred the increased amount of Rs 1247.34 crore through DBT to the accounts of more than 1 crore 12 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme during a state level program organized at 'Sankalp' located at 1 Anne Marg.

The program was telecast live at the Collectorate Auditorium, Ara, Bhojpur district. Under the six major social security pension schemes in Bhojpur district, a total amount of ₹ 31.40 crore was sent directly to the accounts of 2,83,600 beneficiaries at the rate of ₹ 1100 per beneficiary for the month of July. Addressing the beneficiaries present in the program, District Magistrate Shri Tanay Sultania shared detailed information about all the six social security pension schemes of the state government and received feedback from the beneficiaries. He said that the increased pension amount will make life more comfortable for the elderly, widows and disabled people. 'Pension Mahotsav' was organized with enthusiasm in all the blocks and panchayats of the district, which created a positive atmosphere of public awareness and participation in the entire district.

On this occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner Gunjan Singh, Assistant Collector, Assistant Director (Disabled), Assistant Director (Social Security), District Welfare Officer and a large number of pensioners were present.
