PATNA-----------------------Good news for PDS dealers of Bihar, will get leave on weekly and festivals. There is good news for PDS dealers of Bihar. CM Nitish Kumar took a big decision regarding the dealers in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Now the operators of the public distribution system will be given leave on festivals along with one day's government holiday in a week. Let us tell you that PDS dealers were demanding from the government for a long time. However, apart from leave, there are many such demands which are still pending. Food Supply Minister Lesy Singh in the Bihar government said that there are 55000 PDS dealers in Bihar. All of them will get leave on Monday, one day in a week. Apart from this, the government has also decided to give leave on other important festivals including 26 January, 15 August, 2 October, Holi, Diwali, Chhath and Eid. Let us tell you that 55 thousand PDS dealers of Bihar went on strike on 22 July with their eight-point demand. A protest was held in Gardanibagh, Patna. The 8-point demands include the status of a government employee, a monthly salary of Rs 30,000, a commission of Rs 300 per quintal, supply of food grains in proportion to the beneficiaries, abolition of age limit in government holidays and compassionate appointments, and giving a new 5G POS machine in place of a 5-year old POS machine.
