PATNA DM DISMISSED AN EMPLOYEE FOR MAKING ‘DIG BABU’S RESIDENCE CERTIFICATE

PATNA--------------------------A strange case has come to light in the capital Patna. A residence certificate of a dog of Masaurhi block of the district has been made. It went viral on social media in no time. This incident had raised many questions on the credibility of government work. After which the District Magistrate of Patna has taken a big action by taking this matter seriously.

The DM had directed the SDM of Masaurhi to complete the investigation within 24 hours and register an FIR against the culprits. On Monday, the SDM submitted his investigation report, in which revenue officer Murari Chauhan and one were found guilty. The DM has recommended the suspension of the revenue officer to the Revenue and Land Reforms Department.

Along with this, it also came to light that Murari Chauhan forwarded the application without any thorough investigation, due to which this serious lapse occurred. This action is being considered a big step against negligence in government work. The role of IT assistant Mantu Kumar was also found suspicious in this case. Without proper investigation, he forwarded the application for approval on the revenue officer's login. Considering his negligence serious, the DM relieved him from service with immediate effect.

The investigation also revealed that the applicant went against the rules and misused the identity card of another person and tried to obtain a residence certificate by giving a false affidavit. The police have started investigation against the applicant in this case. The DM clarified that strict action will be taken against those involved in such fraud. Masaurhi SDM Abhishek Kumar said that this matter has come to his notice. He said that no personal information of the applicant has been obtained and the Aadhaar card used in the application belongs to someone else. The SDM believes that this application was submitted for the purpose of joke or mischief.
