PATNA-------------------------As part of the nationwide Cardiac Resuscitation (CPR) Awareness Week, being observed under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a team from AIIMS Patna organized a "hands-on CPR" training session to teach the public life-saving techniques.

Under the guidance of Prof. (Brigadier) Dr. Raju Agarwal, Executive Director of AIIMS Patna, a team comprising Dr. Divendu Bhushan, Dr. Deepak Kumar, and Nursing Officer Inderjeet Singh Yadav visited the district hospital under the State Health Committee. Non-medical staff were given hands-on training in CPR techniques.

The team explained that timely CPR in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest can save lives, especially when medical assistance is delayed. Participants were given hands-on training to practice the technique with confidence in an emergency.

A similar training session was held at Hotel Maurya, Patna, with over 40 hotel staff participating. The team stated that such events empower people in society to provide immediate assistance in situations like heart attacks.

Dr. Divendu Bhushan stated that the aim of these trainings is to make every citizen a "lifesaver." He stated that awareness and timely assistance are the most effective ways to prevent deaths due to cardiac arrest.

This week, being celebrated by AIIMS Patna, is an important initiative to disseminate life-saving knowledge to every segment of society and strengthen the life-saving chain in emergency situations.
