Over 100 girls have gone missing from districts bordering Nepal in the past six months. Their disappearances have reached the Human Rights Commission. Advocate SK Jha has filed two separate petitions with the National Human Rights Commission and the Bihar State Human Rights Commission. He expressed concern that "daughters" are being sold for crores of rupees in Nepal, China, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia. International trafficking gangs are active in the India-Nepal border areas adjacent to Motihari.
