BHABHUA--------------------------Chainpur police achieved a major success as part of a special campaign being conducted under the direction of the Kaimur District Superintendent of Police to ensure a peaceful and fair conduct of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, acting on a tip-off, police raided Ramgarh village and recovered a large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition. One person was arrested in the operation, while the main accused managed to escape. Police received intelligence that Ajit Yadav, a resident of Ramgarh village in the Chainpur police station area, who is already accused in several criminal cases, was roaming around the village armed with weapons and was planning to commit a major crime. Given the seriousness of the information, senior police officials were immediately informed. Acting swiftly, the Superintendent of Police, Kaimur, formed a special raiding team and directed immediate action.

On Tuesday, the formed team raided the home of Ramdhin Yadav, a resident of Ramgarh village. This surprise police action created panic among criminals. During the raid, Ajit Yadav, alias Sarvjeet Yadav, managed to escape under cover of darkness, but police apprehended his brother, Sujit Yadav, alias Sarvjeet Yadav. Upon searching the house, police found one single-barrel gun, one double-barrel gun, and five live 12-bore cartridges. Police seized all the illegal weapons and ammunition. In this regard, Case No. 511/25 has been registered at Chainpur Police Station, and legal action has been initiated against the arrested accused, Sujit Yadav, under sections 25 (1-b)a, 26, and 35 of the Arms Act. According to the police, Section 25 relates to illegal possession of weapons. Police are conducting intensive raids and raiding various possible hideouts to apprehend the absconding main accused, Ajit Yadav. Police officials have expressed confidence that he too will be arrested soon.
