ARA--------------------------------Prashant Kishore said Jan Suraj is not a party, it is an exam based system, where only ability will give election ticket-
Prashant Kishore, founder of Jan Suraj, has clearly said that Jan Suraj is not a traditional political party. This is a system where even leaders will have to prove their ability. Candidates will have to give exams and only if they are successful in it, they will get a chance to contest elections. He has linked it to the exam system like UPSC and BPSC and called it a new political thinking.
During a press conference, Prashant Kishore said that till now there has been no party in the country's politics that takes exams of leaders. But Jan Suraj is breaking this tradition. Only those people will get tickets in the party who will be successful in the exam. This exam will be taken to test the understanding, policy, leadership ability and social thinking of the candidates.
Prashant Kishor gave an example and said that just as lakhs of youth participate in UPSC and BPSC exams and become officers on being successful, in the same way Jan Suraj will also test the candidates. He said that now politics is also a serious responsibility, in which it is necessary to set criteria for entering. "You will be surprised to know that till date there is no such political party in India in which the leaders have to pass the exam on the lines of UPSC to contest elections and those who fail will have to contest the election of ward councillor at the lowest post.
He told that Jan Suraj is assessing which candidates are eligible for the assembly elections and who are suitable for the post of ward councillor or chief. The person who is capable for the post will be given the ticket of the same level. The party is assessing the ability of each candidate in a systematic way.
Prashant Kishore said that those who will not pass the exam will be made to contest the election of ward councillor at the lowest level. Its purpose is that every person should understand his responsibility and work accordingly. This method is a unique experiment in Indian politics, which has no example till now.
Questions will be raised on the qualification of leaders: Now when Jan Suraj is talking about taking the exam of leaders, then the question is bound to arise whether the current leaders are really eligible? Those who want to become MLAs, will they succeed in this exam? And those who fail If they are elected, what will be their political credibility? This model of Prashant Kishor has started a new debate in politics that now leaders will be decided not only by the mass base but also by their ability.
