NSS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING HELD

ARA-------------------------A meeting of Advisory Committee of National Service Scheme Veer Kunwar Singh University Ara was organized. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Shailendra Kumar Chaturvedi. In this, Regional Director Vinay Kumar discussed the points of the meeting. He said that registration of institutions and program officers on My Bharat Portal is necessary. In the meeting, operation of CNA account and JBS account were discussed. In the meeting, many new proposals were approved by the committee. This includes organizing National Integration Camp, closing inactive old units and forming new units as per the need, meeting with program officer and principal from time to time, organizing training programs etc.

In the meeting, the proposal regarding submission of utility certificate from NSS units working in colleges was considered. Utility certificate was demanded from the colleges. It was told that without utility certificate the next amount will not be released. The arrangement of separate accounts for government grant and internal amount in university and college was discussed. It was also considered to send the names of 100 volunteer workers by filling them on excel sheet form from the college. An important decision was taken there. Now NSS units will get 35 thousand rupees for residential camp. Whereas earlier 22 thousand 500 rupees were given.
