SASARAM------------------------Nitish's trusted Dinesh Kumar Rai left the administrative service, signs of electoral innings from Kargahar! Rohtas. A big stir was seen in the Bihar Administrative Service when 2010 batch IAS officer Dinesh Kumar Rai decided to take voluntary retirement (VRS). He was currently posted in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Bihar. Earlier, he has also served as District Magistrate in Bettiah of West Champaran district, where his work was highly appreciated. Mr. Rai has been considered one of the most trusted officers of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He has also worked as the personal secretary of the Chief Minister for a long time, from which his administrative grip and political understanding can be gauged. In recent times, his grand welcome ceremony in Kargahar assembly constituency had created a stir in the political corridors. The tremendous support of the local people and the mass gathering had started indicating that Dinesh Kumar Rai is now ready to move beyond the administrative service and walk on the path of public service. According to reliable sources, Shri Rai has been constantly connected with the common people even during the administrative service. Whether it is monitoring flood relief work in Bettiah or quick resolution of land disputes-his working style has been centered on the interest of the common man. This is the reason why he wants to do something special for his birthplace and karmabhoomi. This decision of VRS has further strengthened the fact that he can contest as a candidate from Kargahar in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Although, he has not yet formally announced his political innings, but people close to him believe that in the coming days he can step into active politics with some big party-possibly Janata Dal (U) or any other alliance. There is already a stir in the politics of Bihar, and in such a situation, Nitish Kumar's trusted officer taking VRS in this way is giving many political signals.
