ARA------------------------A newlywed woman was shot dead by armed assailants early Sunday morning in Agiaon Bazaar village, under the Agiaon Bazaar police station area of the district. The victim was shot in the head, resulting in her death on the spot. The incident has caused a sensation in the village and surrounding areas. Upon receiving the information, Agiaon Bazaar Station House Officer Shailesh Kumar reached the spot with his police force. The FSL team was also called to the scene. The team collected evidence from the crime scene. The body was taken to the Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination, from where it was referred to Patna. According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Nirasha Kumari alias Durgavati Kumari, the 20-year-old wife of Mani Kumar, a resident of Agiaon Bazaar village under the Agiaon Bazaar police station area.
Meanwhile, the deceased's father-in-law, Chakravarti Gupta, said that his son's marriage took place on June 4th this year with Nirasha Kumari alias Durgavati Kumari, daughter of Lalu Sah alias Dayal Sah, a resident of Pachrukhiya village under the Piro police station area. At the time of the marriage, he had borrowed one lakh rupees on interest from Chintu Rai, a resident of Tilath village in the same police station area. He had already repaid eighty thousand rupees. He still owed twenty thousand rupees in principal and fifteen thousand rupees in interest, totaling thirty-five thousand rupees. Five days ago, Chintu Rai called his wife's mobile phone, used abusive language, and threatened to abduct his daughter-in-law from their house and kill his son.
Following this, Chakravarti Gupta called Chintu Rai on Saturday and told him to come to his house at 8 AM on Sunday with five of his men, and he would also have five men present. They would then discuss who was right and who was wrong. Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, when his daughter-in-law, Nirasha Kumari alias Durgavati Kumari, went to wake her husband, Mani Kumar, for tea in his room, and since the room's window had black tinted glass, the armed assailants, mistaking her for his son Mani Kumar, shot her. She died on the spot.
On the other hand, the deceased woman's father-in-law, Chakravarti Gupta, has accused Chintu Rai of shooting and killing his daughter-in-law. Meanwhile, the police are investigating the matter. Piro SDPO Krishna Kumar Singh said that the case appears suspicious. The family members are not giving a clear account of what happened. The deceased woman's family claims she was shot and killed. The body has been sent to the Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination, where doctors are suggesting that the death was caused by being struck with a stone. The matter is under investigation. The truth will become clear after the investigation.
