-Shahabad region of Bihar (Ara, Buxar, Rohtas and Kaimur) has been historically, culturally and socially very important. This region has its identity from the freedom struggle to social movements. This has also been the birthplace of great freedom fighters like Babu Veer Kunwar Singh. Despite this, at the administrative level, Shahabad is still under Patna division, due to which this region does not get the importance and priority it deserves.

This region has its identity from the freedom struggle to social movements. This has also been the birthplace of great freedom fighters like Babu Veer Kunwar Singh. Despite this, at the administrative level, Shahabad is still under Patna division, due to which this region does not get the importance and priority it deserves.
Shahabad region has both large population and area. Being included in Patna division, the problems here are not solved on time. Making Ara the headquarters and creating a separate division will make administrative proceedings faster and easier.
The history and culture of Shahabad is different from Patna. The formation of a new division will strengthen the regional identity and the characteristics of this region will get priority in development plans.
When Ara division is formed, government offices, educational institutions, health services and industries will be established here. This will provide employment to the local youth and promote economic development.
At present, people have to go to Patna for major works. By forming Ara division, people will get all the facilities in their own area.
Ara is a historical and cultural center. It is geographically the most suitable place among the four districts (Buxar, Rohtas, Kaimur and Bhojpur). The demand of the High Court Bench, University and Medical Institute are already present here.
Separating Shahabad region from Patna division and forming "Ara division" will not only be appropriate from the administrative point of view but it will also strengthen regional development, public convenience and historical pride. The government should take concrete steps in this direction so that Ara and the surrounding districts can get their due rights.
