ARA-------------------------The internal conflict within the ruling NDA in Bihar is now coming out in the open. The stages of worker conferences are now turning into arenas for mutual power display and 'Dangal' instead of a display of unity. The images of the ruckus in Aurangabad a few days ago had not even faded that now in Jamui too, two big NDA leaders and their supporters clashed with each other, due to which the alliance is getting a bad name.

The stage of the NDA worker conference organized in Sono block of Chakai assembly constituency of Jamui was put to shame when the supporters of Bihar government minister Sumit Kumar Singh and JDU leader and former Legislative Councilor (MLC) Sanjay Prasad came face to face. During the program, the supporters of both the leaders started raising slogans in their favor. This sloganeering turned into a heated debate and then a scuffle.

The matter got so bad that Minister Sumit Kumar Singh and former MLC Sanjay Prasad also jumped into the controversy and there was a heated argument between them. Seeing the chaos and clash on the stage, the police deployed for security had to intervene, after which the matter was settled.

The root of this entire dispute is the claim on Chakai assembly seat. In the last assembly elections, Sanjay Prasad was the JDU candidate from here, but he had to face defeat. At the same time, Sumit Kumar Singh contested the election as an independent candidate and later became a minister by supporting the government. Now Sanjay Prasad is once again staking his claim on the ticket for the upcoming elections, due to which the battle for supremacy between the two leaders is at its peak and this clash in the workers' conference is the result of that.

This is not an isolated incident. Recently, in the NDA workers' conference held in Aurangabad, there was a lot of ruckus and scuffle between two factions of BJP over giving respect on the stage. This incident in Jamui has made it clear that the tussle between the local leaders within the NDA for tickets and dominance is at its peak. If the top leadership does not handle this conflict in time, it can have a direct impact on the electoral performance of the party.
