Basantpur Mukhiya Sujit Kumar Singh stated that he will remain a BJP voter but will not support Raghavendra. He stated that the slow progress of development work in the area and the lack of transparency are a major reason for dissatisfaction. "We can influence approximately 40,000 votes," he said. This warning signals to the party leadership that local grievances must be addressed.

Bagipakad headman Samir Kumar Singh said the party should nominate a BJP member as its candidate. He added that all stakeholders' opinions would be considered. Meanwhile, the headman's association's statement has raised regional political temperatures, and its impact will be felt in the upcoming elections. The association warned of agitation if the issues are not resolved immediately.
