BUXAR---------------------------The truck driver died on the spot and the helper was seriously injured in a horrific road accident on National Highway 922 early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. near the Kathakauli Ladai Maidan Gate in the Industrial Police Station area.
Industrial Police Station Officer Sanjay Kumar stated that a truck coming at high speed from Patna collided with a truck carrying sand from behind. The impact was so severe that the cabin of the truck was completely damaged and shattered. The driver and helper trapped in the cabin were rescued with great difficulty with the help of local people and the police.
Both were immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared the truck driver dead. The deceased has been identified as Jagdish Bhel, son of Chhava Lal Bhel, a resident of Madhya Pradesh. The seriously injured helper is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The police have informed the family of the deceased driver and the body is being sent for a post-mortem examination. Both trucks have been seized and an investigation has been initiated.
