ARA---------------------------The money spent on the construction of a community toilet has gone to waste, a serious issue clearly evident in the case of the community toilet built inside a pond in Ward No. 10 of Shahpur Nagar Panchayat in Bhojpur district. This case presents a tragic example of gross irregularities in the implementation of this scheme and the wastage of public funds.

The construction of a toilet inside a pond is a unique decision by the Nagar Panchayat. This decision is not only harmful to the environment but also disregards the needs of the local people. This toilet, awaiting its formal inauguration, will likely never be used, rendering the money spent on its construction completely wasted.

Collusion and corruption among officials, representatives, and contractors in its construction cannot be ruled out. Which official ultimately granted the No Objection Certificate (NOC)? If the work had been carried out with honesty and transparency, such a serious error would not have been possible. This situation is not only a misuse of government funds but also a betrayal of the trust of ordinary citizens who rely on government schemes.
