MISCREANTS LOOTED LAKHS OF RUPEES FROM ATM

BUXAR---------------------------A major theft at the SBI ATM located at Akhouripur Gola in the Mufussil police station area on Saturday night has raised serious questions about the security arrangements of the bank and the police. 28 lakh rupees were loaded into the machine around 7 pm, and just a few hours later, the criminals cut open the ATM with a gas cutter and stole the cash.

On Sunday morning, a young man went to withdraw money and was shocked to see the broken machine and its scattered structure. Police, responding to the information, have called in the FSL team and begun an investigation. Nearby private CCTV footage is being examined. DSP Gaurav Kumar also arrived at the scene to review the investigation.

In-charge police station officer Chandan Kumar stated that the culprits are being identified based on technical evidence, and arrests will be made soon. Meanwhile, Santosh Chaurasia, the owner of the house where the ATM is installed, made a significant revelation, stating that the machine's shutter had remained open without a lock for a long time. This matter was reported to the bank several times, but no action was taken. The criminals first sprayed paint on the cameras and then easily entered and carried out the crime.

Local residents say that the negligence of the bank and the police has emboldened the criminals, allowing them to carry out such incidents with ease.
