Two and half year old Aryan Kumar died due to drowning in the eastern part of Mahadalit colony of the village. The innocent child went to bathe in the flood water spread in the Bhaagdar while playing and suddenly slipped into a deep pit and drowned.
When the villagers saw the child floating in the water, there was chaos. He was immediately taken out, but by then it was too late. The entire area echoed with cries and the family members were weeping inconsolably. As soon as the incident was reported, the head of the Gram Panchayat Dumri, Premsagar Kunwar, arrived. He consoled the bereaved family and assured them of all possible help. The local police administration was also informed. The administrative officials reached the spot and met the deceased's father Ajay Ram and grandfather Shivprasan Ram. The process of providing compensation under government provisions has been started. The villagers say that the lives of the villagers are in danger due to the continuous rise in flood water. Children and the elderly are most at risk, because deep pits have formed at many places, which are difficult to estimate. After this tragic accident, there is a mourning silence in the entire village.
