ARA---------------------------Women are making the program alive with their active participation in the Mahila Samvad program and are also empowering themselves through this platform. This dialogue program is providing a constructive platform to their ideas, suggestions and experiences. Women are not only giving positive suggestions regarding collective development, but are also vocally expressing their problems and shortcomings.

During the Mahila Samvad program, women demanded free facilities like Mukhyamantri Balika Poshak Yojana, Student Credit Card Scheme, Didi Ki Rasoi, Sewing Center, Custom Hiring Center, Community Toilet, Marriage Hall, Jeevika Bhawan, discounts in insurance schemes, animal vaccination and agricultural insurance. Along with this, the need for basic facilities like Gram Sangathan Bhawan, electricity, water supply, drain cleaning, shortage of teachers in schools, reduction in interest rate, increase in initial investment fund, free coaching for higher education and grain warehouse was also raised.

This dialogue program was organized through 24 village organizations in both the shifts in 12 blocks of Bhojpur district, in which about 4400 women participated. In the remaining two blocks—Gadhani and Sandesh—the programme will be launched from 25 and 27 May 2025 respectively.

The programme was organised in Narayanpur and Diliyan panchayats of Agiaon block, Ganghar and Kajuria panchayats of Ara Sadar block, Nathmalpur and Nekham Tola panchayats of Barhara block, Pipra Jagdish and Kalyanpur panchayats of Bihiya block, Nagri and Mukundpur of Charpokhari, Shivpur and Hetampur of Jagdishpur, and Dhandiha and Narbirpur of Koilwar, among other places.

Women in all the blocks of the district are participating with full enthusiasm and openly sharing their aspirations in the Mahila Samvad programme. This Samvad programme is becoming an effective medium to establish contact between the state government and women. Films based on various schemes, leaflets and the message of the Hon'ble Chief Minister are playing an important role in making the programme a success.

Through the Mahila Samvad program in Bhojpur district, the stories of empowerment of women associated with Jeevika Self Help Groups and the inspiring tales of women and students benefiting from the state government schemes are now reaching every home. During the program, women are not only sharing their stories of struggle and success, but are also freely sharing their problems and aspirations on this platform. In the Mahila Samvad program being organized in 24 villages every day, women are presenting examples of self-reliance, which are becoming a source of inspiration for other women.

The girl students present in the program are also sharing information about the benefits and facilities received from the government-run schemes and are demanding other schemes and facilities for higher education. The Mahila Samvad program has provided an excellent opportunity to women to share their views openly. This is the reason why their active and effective participation is being seen despite the scorching heat.
