The court in Arrah, Bhojpur district, delivered a historic verdict on Tuesday, sentencing a juvenile to life imprisonment in a murder case involving the accused. A fine of 1.02 lakh rupees was also imposed on the accused.

The court stated in its verdict that the minor's sentence could be reduced based on his conduct. If the District Legal Services Authority deems the compensation amount insufficient, it may increase it. First Additional District and Sessions Judge, cum Special Judge for Juvenile Court Cases, Shailendra Kumar Panda, delivered the sentence on Tuesday in a murder case involving the Barhara police station in Bhojpur. This murder case is located in the Barhara police station area. On May 17, 2022, a young man named Santosh Kumar was shot and killed.

According to the informant, Sadhu Sharan Rai, he was sitting outside his house with his son Santosh Kumar and other family members at 10 p.m. when five men, including a teenager, arrived on two bikes. Some were also conducting a recce. Santosh Kumar was shot by the teenager.
