LEAVE OF ALL OFFICIALS IN PATNA SUSPENDED

PATNA---------------------------The Patna District Administration has suspended leave for all officials to maintain peace and order during Diwali and Chhath Puja. DM Tyagarajan S.M. issued this directive to ensure no lapses in law and order during the festivals.

Amidst the ongoing elections, preparations have been intensified to ensure a peaceful celebration of Diwali and Chhath Puja in Bihar. Meanwhile, the Patna District Administration has geared up for the upcoming festivals and has cancelled the leave of all officials until further orders.

Patna District Magistrate Tyagarajan S.M. has suspended leave for all officials. Leave for all Patna District Administration officials will be suspended from October 20th to October 28th. Leave has been suspended until Diwali and Chhath Puja are concluded peacefully. Leave for officials at the district, division, and block levels has been suspended.

An order issued by the Confidential Branch of the District Magistrate's Office, Patna, stated, "This year, the festival of Diwali will be celebrated on October 20, 2025. Following this, the Chhath festival, a festival of folk faith and purity, will begin with Nahai-Khaay on October 25, 2025, and conclude with the morning offering of Arghya on October 28, 2025."

Magical officers are being deputed by subdivision to maintain law and order on this occasion. The presence of district, subdivision, and regional officials at their respective headquarters during these festivals is crucial from a law and order perspective.

In light of the above, in the interest of work, leave for all district/subdivision/block level officials/technical officials/supervisor level officials is prohibited from October 18, 2025, to October 28, 2025.

If a high level officer needs leave in special circumstances, he will submit the leave application in the office of the undersigned through the senior in-charge/proper channel, mentioning the clear reason and will leave the headquarters only after obtaining permission.”
