BUXAR--------------------------A grand inauguration of the largest free cataract mega camp was held on Monday in Kritpura village under the Sadar block of Buxar district, under the auspices of Shri Ranchhoddasji Bapu Charitable Hospital, Rajkot. The inauguration was performed by Siya Ji, daughter of the world-renowned Param Pujya Bhaktamali Mama Ji Maharaj, by lighting a lamp and offering flowers in front of the portrait of Ranchhoddasji Bapu.

The objective of this mega camp is to provide free eye treatment using modern technology to approximately 50,000 poor, helpless, and needy people of Bihar. According to the organizers, this camp will run continuously until March 31, 2026, and people from not only Buxar district but also from all over Bihar and Uttar Pradesh can come and benefit from it.

Pravinbhai Vasani, the Managing Trustee of the trust, said that this camp is an attempt to realize the life message of Param Pujya Shri Ranchhoddasji Bapu – "Patients are my God" and "Forget me, but don't forget the eye camp." Inspired by this sentiment, this massive eye camp has been organized. He informed that cataract surgeries will be performed without stitches using a modern phaco machine. High-quality soft foldable lenses will be implanted completely free of charge, ensuring safe and quick restoration of vision. If a patient has cataracts in both eyes, the second eye will also be operated on after a gap of one month.

The camp provides free facilities for examination, surgery, medicines, breakfast, meals, and accommodation for the patients. Accommodation and food are also provided for one family member accompanying the patient. After treatment, patients will be respectfully given food and clothing, and each patient will be given an emotional farewell with an aarti ceremony.

A large tent has been set up on 14 bighas of land near the Lakshmipur Chirag institution for registration and examinations. The operation is being conducted at the Kritpura Temple-cum-Marriage Hall complex by a team of 10 experienced ophthalmologists. Each patient will have to stay at the camp for approximately three days.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a large number of dignitaries, including Rajpur MLA Santosh Nirala, Hulas Pandey, Baban Rai, Raghavendra Rai, Sonu Rai, village head representative Nagendra Prajapati, Shivji Yadav, Jitendra Rai, Ganesh Dutt Mishra, Madan Rai, Lalanarayan Rai, Jayamangal Mishra, Khadgadhari Sharma, Bhalchand Mishra, Ramavatar Yadav, Ram Pravesh Yadav, and Kotwal Yadav. The stage was managed by Ashok Mishra.

The organizers have appealed to needy people suffering from cataracts to take maximum advantage of the camp and to spread this information to their villages and communities so that no one is deprived of their eyesight.
