LARGE QUANTITY OF IMFL RECOVERED FROM 12 WHEELED TRUCK, ONE LIQUOR SMUGGLER ARRESTED

ARA-------------------------On the orders of Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, the prohibition department is continuously conducting raids against illegal liquor in the district. In this sequence, Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition Rajneesh received secret information that a large quantity of illegal foreign liquor is going towards Patna from Uttar Pradesh in a 12 wheeled Tata truck. Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition formed a team under the leadership of Inspector Rahul Kumar Dubey.

A 12 wheeled Tata truck was caught near Kayamnagar Overbridge on Buxar-Patna NH-922, (Geedha of Thana, District-Bhojpur). On investigation, a large quantity of foreign liquor and beer was recovered from the truck's container. The truck vehicle was found to be registered in UP.

The team arrested the driver Deepak Kumar, son of Paras Rai, resident of Haldi Chhapra village under Maner police station of Patna district from the spot. Later he was handed over to the court for further action. A total of 1287.600 litres of 8 PM, Royal Stag, After Dark Magic Moment foreign liquor and beer were seized from the said vehicle in 115 cartons.

The seized liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh to Patna. The raiding team comprised Inspector Rahul Kumar Dubey, Sub Inspector Shivam Kumar Jha, Assistant Sub Inspector Rajkumar Raja, Ravi Kumar, Assistant Sub Inspector Ravindra Kumar Yadav and Assistant Sub Inspector along with prohibition constables, SAP and Home Guard jawans.
