PATNA----------------------Amidst the heated Bihar assembly elections, troubles have increased for former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad's family. The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has named Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav as accused in the IRCTC scam case.

Following the Rouse Avenue Court's filing of charges, the trial will now proceed against all three. The court stated that the entire tender scam was conspired with the former Railway Minister's knowledge and that his involvement in the scam benefited his entire family. The court has framed charges against former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav under sections 420, 120 of the Indian Penal Code, and the Prevention of Corruption Act (PC Act). Lalu Prasad has dismissed all these allegations as baseless.

It is noteworthy that this entire case relates to corruption in the tender for two IRCTC hotels in Puri and Ranchi. This court decision could create difficulties for the Lalu family ahead of the assembly elections. Meanwhile, the Rouse Avenue Court postponed the decision in the Land for Jobs case on Monday. The verdict will now be announced on November 10th.

On this issue, Union Minister and HAM(S) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi said, "This is a matter for the court. Justice will take its course." Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad said, "We respect the court and the Constitution. We have nothing to say on this matter. There is no justification for interfering with the court's order; the court does its work."
