KHARIF PADDY HARVESTING EXPERIMENT INSPECTED IN ITAHARI BLOCK

BUXAR----------------------------District Magistrate Buxar, Dr. Vidyanand Singh, inspected the Kharif paddy harvesting experiment for the 2025-26 agricultural year on Friday in Mongolpur village, Hakimpur Panchayat, Itahari block. The harvesting experiment was conducted on a 10 meter × 5 meter rectangular plot owned by local farmer Shiv Prakash Chaudhary, yielding a total of 23,870 kilograms of paddy. Based on this, the average yield was determined to be 47.74 quintals per hectare.

The District Magistrate stated that the primary objective of the harvesting experiment was to provide accurate yield estimates for farmers and ensure efficiency and transparency in the implementation of government agricultural schemes. He encouraged the farmers present to adopt scientific farming and take advantage of departmental schemes.

Participating in the harvesting inspection program were the Joint Director, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Bihar, Patna; District Statistical Officer, Buxar; Assistant Director, Field Officer; Block Development Officer, Itahari; A large number of officials and villagers, including the Block Development Officer, Itahari; Assistant Statistical Officers, Buxar and Itahari; Junior Statistical Officer, Buxar; Block Agriculture Officer, Itahari; Agriculture Coordinator, Farmer Advisor, were present.

Those present appreciated the transparent process of harvesting experiments and the efforts being made to increase agricultural production in the district.
