PATNA--------------------------Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has not only questioned the bulldozer action but has also given advice to the government. Manjhi has also given a big statement regarding Tejashwi Yadav.
The bulldozer action against encroachments continues in Bihar. The bulldozer action started after Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary took charge of the Home Department. Encroachments are being removed from all districts. Meanwhile, the opposition is targeting the government and attacking Samrat Choudhary by calling him "Bulldozer Baba". Amidst all this, Union Minister and HAM chief Jitan Ram Manjhi has also questioned the bulldozer action. He said that encroachment is wrong, but action is being taken against the poor. Action should have been taken first against those who have encroached on government land.
Regarding the bulldozer action, Jitan Ram Manjhi said that the encroachment that has taken place is wrong, and the removal after giving notice is correct. But one thing is that the Supreme Court has also said that they should not be removed until alternative arrangements are made for them to live. It has been heard that the Bihar government is actively working on rehabilitating them. But I will definitely say that the bulldozers are being used to remove small-time businessmen on the sides of the roads.
Manjhi further said that action should first be taken against those who have built malls and four or five-story buildings on government land. If that happens, these people will leave on their own. Then no opposition will do anything. Jitan Ram Manjhi said that this is my suggestion for the government. Manjhi's statement makes it clear that action against Dalits will not be tolerated. The government should first take action on the land encroached upon by bigwigs. Then they should remove these people.
According to Manjhi, removing encroachments is not wrong, but it should start with the big encroachers who have illegally erected malls and huge buildings on government land. It would have been more just if the large malls and high-end encroachments had been removed first, followed by action against the Dalit settlements.
Meanwhile, Manjhi also reacted sharply to Tejashwi Yadav's absence during the five-day session of the Legislative Assembly. He said that Tejashwi Yadav should have been present in the House and fulfilled his responsibility in accordance with the mandate given to him by the people. Manjhi said, "I think he did not attend this session due to shame and embarrassment."
