ARA----------------------------As per the instructions of District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, special investigation campaigns are being conducted at various locations in the district to ensure the peaceful and fair conduct of the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections 2025.
In this sequence, Rs. 50 lakh in cash was recovered by the SST team at the Gangi check post in Bhojpur district during a routine vehicle check. This action was taken to prevent misuse of funds during the elections.
Naresh Kumar (Joint Commissioner of State Tax), Nodal Officer of the FS/SST/VST Cell, stated that since the amount seized exceeds Rs. 10 lakh, the Income Tax Department will further investigate the matter.
The Income Tax Department will now investigate the source and validity of this money. Strict action will be taken in all such cases to ensure fair and transparent election processes.
