Hundreds of farmers present there, without fear, stopped the construction work of Bharat Mala Project Banaras Ranchi to Kolkata Expressway. On Tuesday, the Kaimur administration used the power of the police force and beat up the farmers to forcibly stop the paddy crop. On Tuesday, the farmers tried to stop it. On Wednesday, farmers went to Birna Karwandiya village and stopped the construction work of Bharat Mala Project Expressway. The farmers were shouting slogans Jai Jawan Jai Kisan and Kisan Ekta Zindabad. At nine in the morning, farmers started reaching Birna Karwandiya, gradually hundreds of farmers were present at the site by 10.30. At 11.30, the sub-divisional officer of Bhabhua, along with dozens of police personnel, tried to intimidate the farmers with full force. The police tried to chase the farmers away. To answer the police, hundreds of farmers lay down in the paddy field. The police became silent in front of the farmers' resolve. The farmers and the police force were sitting face to face the whole day. Till the time of writing the news, the construction work of Bharat Mala Project Banaras Ranchi to Kolkata Expressway did not start. The police stopped the work till late evening. On Tuesday, the Kaimur administration crushed 50 acres of paddy crop of Sihora Birna Karwandiya village with a JCB machine. The farmers who were trying to save their paddy crop were beaten up and Ramakant Singh, Arvind Singh, Surendra Singh, Arun Singh Karwandiya, Pradeep Yadav Birna were arrested. All the four farmers were released after filling a bail bond at 10 pm. The farmers demanding proper compensation for the construction of Bharat Mala Project Expressway are continuously agitating demanding one district, one project, one land, nature, one compensation.
The farmers said that equal compensation should be given in one project. Under the Bharat Mala Project, farmers in Siyon village are being given a compensation of 1.40 lakh rupees for their agricultural land. While the rest of the farmers are being given compensation of around 28 lakh rupees. The main reason for the opposition to the Bharat Mala Project is the inequality in compensation. Looking at the current situation, it seems that the farmers are in a mood for a fight to the finish. Vimlesh Pandey, President, Kisan Sangharsh Morcha, Kaimur, said that the crops of farmers are being trampled without compensation. He said that the attitude of the Kaimur administration is dictatorial. Farmers will keep demanding proper compensation till their death. Secretary Anil Singh, President, Bharatiya Kisan Union, Kaimur, Abhimanyu Singh said that the food providers of the country are being harassed. Farmers have been demanding proper compensation for the past three years. Farmer leaders said that the deaf and dumb government is ignoring the demands of the farmers. Thousands of acres of land of 93 mauzas in Kaimur district have been acquired for the Bharat Mala Project Banaras Ranchi to Kolkata Expressway. They are demanding one district, one project, one land, nature, one compensation. Farmers like Tuntun Singh, Shyam Sundar Singh, Arvind Singh Jagaria, Gajjan Singh Patiaar Ram Sanjay Bind, Bhupendra Singh, Chandrajeet Yadav, Tileshwar Dubey, Mansha Singh, Munna Bhai, Awadhesh Kumar etc were present in the protest.
