INTERNATIONAL SMUGGLER ARRESTED WITH FIVE GOLD BISCUITS IN ARA

ARA-------------------------------Police from Nawada police station arrested an international smuggler, uncovering a gold smuggling racket. Five gold biscuits weighing 100 grams each were recovered from him. ₹140,000 and a mobile phone were also seized from him. The arrested smuggler is Ramnaresh Pandey, a resident of Purana Bhojpur village in the Dumraon police station area of ​​Buxar district. His in-laws live in Kayamnagar village in the Geedha police station area. He was arrested on Tuesday in a street near the petrol pump in Karman Tola, Nawada police station area.

According to police, he smuggled the gold biscuits from Birgunj, Nepal, and sold them to a jeweler at Gopali Chowk in the Nagar police station area. During interrogation, the smuggler admitted to coming to Ara to sell the biscuits to the jeweler. Police are currently investigating the case and unraveling the smuggling ring's network. The jeweler's involvement is also being investigated. Superintendent of Police Raj confirmed the arrest of a smuggler with five gold biscuits on Wednesday. An FIR was registered in this case based on the statement of Nawada Police Station Inspector Avinash Kumar. In addition to the arrested smuggler, Munna Ji, owner of Bharat Bhushan Jewellers, located near Gopali Chowk in the Nagar police station area, has been named as an accused.

Ram Naresh Pandey, a resident of Buxar, is involved in smuggling gold through the Raxaul border. After purchasing gold in Birgunj, Nepal, the smuggler crosses the border at Raxaul, enters Bihar, and then arrives in Ara by bus via Patna. He has previously sold smuggled gold to Munna Ji, owner of Bharat Bhushan Jewellers, located at Gopali Chowk in Ara. The smuggler provided this information to the police during interrogation. According to the police, smuggler Ram Naresh Pandey revealed that he purchased gold biscuits from Birgunj, Nepal, on November 29th. He then crossed the Raxaul border, entered Bihar, and then traveled by bus to Patna. From there, he traveled to his in-laws' home in Kayamnagar. On Wednesday morning, at around 7 a.m., he came to Bharat Bhushan Jewellers at Gopali Chowk in Ara to deliver a gold biscuit. However, he was called by the owner of Bharat Bhushan Jewellers at 12 noon. He then returned to Karman Tola. Police are investigating the nexus between the smuggler and the jeweller. The smuggler's mobile phone is also being examined.

According to the police, on Tuesday morning, around 9:30 a.m., information was received that a man was wandering around suspiciously near the Karman Tola petrol pump. Based on this information, Inspectors Avinash Kumar and Deepak arrived at Karman Tola. By then, Inspector Basudev Paswan, who was on day patrol, had also arrived with the police force. While verifying the information, the police team reached Mohan Singh's street near the petrol pump and spotted the man wandering around suspiciously. When the police team apprehended him and began questioning him, he tried to escape. Initially, he kept talking incoherently and even gave a false name and address. But during a search, five 100-gram gold biscuits wrapped in a silver foil were recovered from his pant pocket. Approximately ₹140,000 in cash and a mobile phone were recovered from his other pocket. Later, upon closer questioning, he admitted to coming to Ara for smuggling.
