SASARAM---------------------------The 41st death anniversary of independent India's Prime Minister, the Iron Lady, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, was commemorated as Martyrdom Day by laying wreaths at the Rohtas District Congress office, Indira Gandhi Ashram, Sasaram. She sacrificed her life for the unity and integrity of the country, making it strong and powerful. The 150th birth anniversary of freedom fighter and Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Home Minister of the Interim Government, is also commemorated as National Unity Day. Senior Congress members present on the occasion included Rajeshwar Kushwaha, Ramnarayan Ram, Dhananjay Singh, Dr. Javed Akhtar, Taufiq Ahmed Makrani, Ashwini Kumar Paswan, Manoranjan Yadav, Ali Hussain Idrisi, Mo Rinku, Suhail Alam Taji, and Shadab Ansari. The program was presided over by Rohtas District Congress President Amarendra Kumar Pandey.
