ARA---------------------------In the heart of the city lies another city. The city holds within it an unwritten dark chapter of the city itself. There are many people who shouldn't exist, many things that shouldn't be thought about. A human life that isn't life. Where youth has no value. The value of life and youth is measured in a few bites of rice or two rotis. There's a vast gap between one meal and the next. Obscene language, abusive language, everything is permissible here. Alcohol and marijuana are not to be consumed secretly. Cheating is a natural trade here. A group of human beings, seemingly dull in appearance, lives here. A long railway line runs through this city, flanked by small houses. Large families live in small houses held together by broken bamboo fences, polythene sheets, and sacks. As night falls, three or four thin, thin children huddle inside a single house. A wife struggling with poverty, her skin clinging to her bones, and a man with dry cheeks and overly large eyes. Early in the morning, when sunlight spills onto the train stairs through the cracks in tall buildings, the children emerge from their homes like ants from a tunnel. Each shoulder carries a large sack in a distinctive manner. They wander the city streets, searching for plastic bottles, cans, and other items. They struggle to survive from daylight to darkness.

They face numerous problems, including poverty, health problems, social isolation, insecurity, and anxiety, which make their lives extremely difficult. Finding the source of these problems reveals their shortcomings. They are victims of poverty. They need substantial assistance to meet food, water, clothing, and other basic needs. Furthermore, they also have health problems. Due to lack of adequate sanitation and poor nutrition, they suffer from various diseases. Third, social isolation. They have no special place in society, so they feel lonely and depressed. Fourth, they suffer from insecurity. They are subjected to social abuse and have little or no security. They are mentally vulnerable due to stress, deprivation, social exclusion, and insecurity. They lack education. Most of them are deprived of education, leaving them with no opportunity to improve their lives.

Therefore, the government should extend a helping hand to these children wandering the streets of the city. Society should increase sympathy and affection towards them. Government schemes should be properly made available to them, and their problems should be resolved and they should be rescued. Otherwise, this second city within the city will make us feel as if we are unaware of ourselves.
