BUXAR---------------------------Police have arrested the husband of a woman who committed suicide by drinking pesticide along with her three children in Naya Bhojpur village on November 11th.

Police have arrested the husband of a woman who committed suicide by drinking pesticide along with her three children in Naya Bhojpur village on November 11th. The husband has been accused of negligence in treating the woman and children after the suicide. His mobile phone CDR has confirmed that he had an illicit relationship with a woman, which often led to disputes between the couple.

The deceased Savita Devi's parents were also aware of this. Their parents had attempted to reason with Sunil several times, but their words had no effect on him. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the husband and wife again had a dispute over Sunil's illicit relationship. Sunil then went upstairs. Meanwhile, upset by her husband's actions, Savita mixed insecticide into rice stored in her home and then gave it to her three children, then drank it herself. Police investigations have revealed that even after the woman consumed poison, her husband and family were negligent in their treatment.

The family initially brought only the three children to the PHC for treatment. Here, too, the family concealed the fact that the children had consumed poison and told the medical officer that they were vomiting. Experts say that if the family had initially provided proper treatment to Savita and her children, who had consumed poison, and informed the police about the incident, their lives could have been saved. Savita's father, Omprakash Singh, filed an FIR at the Naya Bhojpur police station, accusing her husband of negligence.

Following the FIR, the police arrested Sunil, the accused mason, based on the CDR of his mobile phone, information gathered from nearby residents, and the FSL investigation report, finding him guilty.

Dumraon SDPO Polats Kumar confirmed that the accused husband has been arrested. He explained that after the FIR was filed, a technical and other investigation was conducted. The investigation revealed negligence on the husband's part, including his failure to provide timely and appropriate medical care to all involved. The wife and her children committed suicide. Besides the mobile phone issue, another aspect is that the CDR of Sunil's mobile number revealed that he was in contact with another woman. The deceased's parents were also aware of this, and Sunil was counseled. However, an examination of the CDR reveals that he is still in contact with her.

It is worth noting that in its Thursday issue, Keshav Times, citing rural sources, reported Sunil's illicit relationship and alleged that the family had concealed the incident from the police and had shown gross negligence in his treatment. The police investigation confirmed this Keshav Times report.
