HIGHWAY SIDE HOSPITALS WILL BE CONVERTED INTO TRAUMA CENTRES

ARA--------------------------Highway-side hospitals in Bihar will be converted into trauma centers; cashless treatment up to 1.5 lakh rupees for the injured.

To ensure speedy treatment for road accident victims in the state, all private and government hospitals located along highways will be converted into trauma centers. Dr. Manoj Kumar, State Program Officer (Road Safety) of the State Health Department, has written to all district supervisors in this regard. He has directed that the process of inspecting highway-side hospitals be completed and the process of converting them into trauma centers be completed.

In addition, a trauma center signboard should be installed at all highway-side hospitals. The State Program Officer has directed that the inspection report be sent soon. Dr. Sarita Shankar, Regional Additional Director of Health, says that the department's directive will be followed in all districts.
