GANJA SMUGGLERS ARRESTED WITH 197.5 GRAMS OF GANJA

BHABHUA---------------------------Police have arrested a smuggler with 197.5 grams of marijuana in the Bhagwanpur police station area of ​​the district. The arrested accused has been identified as Pankaj Pandey alias Chittaranjan Pandey, son of Jaiprakash Pandey, village and police station Bhagwanpur, district Kaimur. Police arrested him and sent him to the court for presentation. According to information received, Bhagwanpur police received a tip-off that Pankaj Pandey alias Chittaranjan Pandey was involved in the illegal purchase and sale of marijuana. Based on the information, a team led by the station in-charge was formed and took immediate action and raided the specified location. During the raid, Pankaj Pandey was caught red-handed with 197.5 grams of marijuana. Police seized the marijuana and registered a case against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The arrested accused has been remanded to judicial custody and will be produced before the court. The Superintendent of Police stated that a continuous campaign is underway to curb the drug trade in the district and strict action will be taken against such criminals. He also appealed to the public to immediately inform the police if they become aware of any illegal drug trade.
