According to Munni Devi, the government has made arrangements for food and water for the displaced. She also assured that whatever other arrangements are required, she will get them done by talking to the government. In particular, she promised to provide land and money for building houses.

When asked by media personnel about the statement of local MLA Rahul Tiwari about calling the Deputy Chief Minister, former MLA Munni Devi said, “Okay, being a part of the government, we are constantly talking to each other. But what are they doing? Will we do as they say?” She clarified that she is conveying the situation to the government from her side and will also request the Deputy Chief Minister to come and see the situation once. She also added that “Everything is happening here through the government.”

The former MLA acknowledged the pain of the displaced people, who have lost everything. She told that some people are going to their relatives' houses. Most of the people are living in temporary tents. She especially mentioned elderly women and children and expressed concern over the generator not being on, although the generator is available, but it was not being run. She said that the generator should be run day and night so that the elderly and children can get some rest. She will complain about it.

Former MLA Munni Devi admitted that even after Ganga ji recedes, people will not be able to return to their old homes as everything belonging to them will have been washed away. The situation in Jawainiya village is “very bad”. She lamented that “Ganga Maa has left nothing here” and that she will not say anything more.

She said that she will work with the government to come up with provisions that will help people get money for land and houses. She reiterated that Ganga ji is unlikely to recede now, so people will have to live here in temporary tents, no matter what, and she will work to improve the arrangements currently available.
