FOMER MLA VISITED THE DALIT COLONY OF BABHANGAON

ARA--------------------------Former MLA Asha Devi reached the Dalit colony in Babhangaon village of Barhara assembly constituency of Bhojpur district on Sunday and took stock of the situation of the people and understood their problems closely. During this, the people of the Dalit community gave her a grand welcome with flowers and garlands and honored her. The local people openly put forth all the problems of the area before the former MLA.

Asha Devi visited the streets and alleys of the village and listened to the problems of the people. She clearly said that many problems like cleanliness, drainage, ration card, old age pension, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, drain-street and road construction have come to the fore in the colony. She said that the real duty of a public representative is to convey the voice of the poor and the deprived to the administration and ensure a solution, and she has always been performing this duty.

She said, "Today I have come to visit the Dalit settlement of Babhangaon village. I came here and saw that many basic problems are troubling the people. Neither the roads here are in good condition, nor the drainage system, nor the facility of pure drinking water is available. Many people do not have ration cards, while many eligible families are still deprived of the housing scheme. I will put all these problems before the district administration and will try my best to find a solution." During this time, social workers and local leaders were also present with her. A large number of villagers including Abhay Singh, Ravi Sharma, Sanjeet Kumar, Rinku Singh, Nandkumar Chaudhary, Vishnu Mishra, Hiralal Ram, Ajay Shah, Akhilesh Ram, Sudhir Ram, Pushpa Devi, Ranju Devi, Krishna Devi, Shobha Devi, Urmila Upadhyay were present on the occasion. The villagers said that till date no public representative had listened to their problems so closely. This visit of Asha Devi has given a new hope to the people that their problems pending for years can now be solved. This visit of the former MLA also became a topic of discussion in political circles, as this visit became a strong example of public relations as well as knowing the ground reality and establishing direct communication with the public. The people of the colony expressed hope that the issues raised by the former MLA will soon be taken up at the administrative level and they will get relief.
