PATNA---------------------------Dense fog and zero visibility caused a multi-vehicle collision, resulting in several vehicles catching fire and 13 people being burned alive, while more than 100 others were injured.

This horrific road accident occurred on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, at milestone 127, on the stretch from Agra to Noida. According to eyewitnesses, due to the dense fog, a vehicle ahead lost control after hitting the divider, leading to a chain reaction of collisions involving several vehicles. The vehicles then caught fire, causing panic and cries of anguish at the scene.

By the time the fire brigade arrived and brought the fire under control, 14 vehicles had been destroyed. These included a state-run bus, 7 private buses, and a car. These buses were traveling from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi.

Currently, 42 people injured in the accident have been admitted to the district general hospital. According to witnesses, most of the passengers were asleep when the accident occurred. The moment the buses collided, screams and cries of distress erupted.
