FIVE SHOOTERS OF CHANDAN MISHRA MURDER CASE ARRESTED FROM KOLKATA, INSPECTOR AND CONSTABLE SUSPENDED FOR NEGLIGENCE

PATNA (RNI) Police got a big success on Saturday in the case of murder of gangster Chandan Mishra in Paras Hospital, Patna on Thursday morning. Police arrested the shooters involved in Chandan's murder from West Bengal. Police arrested five criminals from Newtown area adjacent to Kolkata. Now they will be produced in the local court and brought to Patna on transit remand. Notorious Omkar Singh alias Sheru Singh is lodged in Purulia jail of West Bengal, who is considered the mastermind of this murder.

Tracing the mobile location, a joint raid was conducted by Bihar Police and West Bengal Police in the early hours of Saturday. Five criminals were arrested from a residential complex located in Satellite Township. Let us tell you that a day earlier, ADG (Headquarters) Kundan Krishnan had said that Sheru's henchmen were involved in the Chandan Singh murder case. Sheru is currently lodged in Purulia jail in West Bengal. His network is being investigated. It is said that the deceased Chandan Mishra and Sheru were once close friends. These people together committed many criminal acts in the areas of Shahabad. However, later both of them became enemies. After this, Sheru planned to kill Chandan.

This murder was not only well planned, but also exposes a huge lapse in the security system. After the shootout in Paras Hospital, Patna Police has taken major action in this case and suspended many policemen. On the instructions of SSP Patna, two inspectors, two assistant inspectors and several constables of Shastri Nagar police station have been suspended with immediate effect. The investigation report clearly found that these policemen showed great negligence in their duty and made serious lapses in security arrangements. According to the SSP, the guilty policemen were neither alert nor could ensure the safety of the notorious criminal admitted in the hospital.

Chandan Mishra's father Shrikant Mishra (alias Mantu Mishra) has lodged an FIR against the Paras Hospital administration and General Surgeon Dr. Pintu Kumar Singh at Shastrinagar police station, alleging a serious murder conspiracy. Shrikant Mishra said in his complaint that Chandan Mishra was admitted to Paras Hospital on July 15, 2025 for fistula and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Pintu Kumar Singh operated on him between 1 and 3 pm on the same day. After the operation, the doctor said that Chandan would be discharged on July 16 at 4 pm. However, later Dr. Pintu extended the discharge date to July 17. Shrikant alleges that at around 7:15 am on July 17, five armed criminals entered the ICU ward of the hospital and shot Chandan dead.
