FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE REFOMS: A STEP TOWARDS GOOD GOVERNANCE

PATNA----------------------The Finance Department has approved the withdrawal of ₹31,689.50 crore from the Contingency Fund in the financial year 2025-26, which will provide quick financial assistance to the government in emergency situations. Amendments to the Travel Allowance Rules of Employees have also been approved, which will ensure better facilities for the employees.

The “Mukhyamantri Fellowship Scheme” has been approved under the General Administration Department, which will promote research and innovation in the state.

For effective control and monitoring of various crimes under the Home Department, installation of CCTV cameras and construction of dashboards in 176 new police stations has been approved at a total estimated cost of ₹280.50 lakh. This will strengthen the security system.

Other important decisions:Industries Department: A cost of ₹1,24,62,50,175 has been approved for industrial infrastructure development on 469.4917 acres of land in Munger district, which will promote industrial development. Food and Consumer Protection Department: An administrative structure of ₹4,64,94,396 for Bihar Food Security and Civil Supplies Corporation and an annual expenditure of ₹2,40,65,792 for the establishment of (BIGSMT) in Patna has been approved. Water Resources Department: Administrative approval of ₹65113.00 lakh has been received for the construction of Uderasthan Barrage under Irrigation Division, Uderasthan in Jehanabad and modernization of canal systems of the previously constructed Uderasthan Weir Scheme. Animal and Fisheries Resources Department: “Bihar Animal and Fisheries Resources (Recruitment) Service-Recruitment (Amendment) Rules 2025” has been approved. Sugarcane Industry Department: “Bihar Sugarcane Supervisor Cadre (Recruitment, Promotion and Service Conditions) Rules, 2025 in Sugarcane Industry Department” has been approved. Health Department: “Unvoluntary Employment Release Rules, 2023” has been approved. Social Welfare Department: Financial approval of ₹3,45,19,20,000 has been received under the Nutrition Campaign in Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), which will help in improving the nutritional level of children and women. This amendment will be made effective from today.

These decisions will pave the way for the all-round development of Bihar and the citizens of the state will get better facilities.
